Pie.

Dude, you missed it!

The Lonely Pie was a limited time only offering at The Pie Hole in downtown Los Angeles' Arts District.

The Lonely Pie — Pie Hole — Downtown Los Angeles/Arts District

Maybe you put off having a slice for the same reason I did: EXPENSIVE. This little slice cost $4.50. Plus y'gotta tip! Even if you take out!

What is the Lonely Pie? A rich chocolate and peanut butter slab on a layer of finely crushed potato chips. Chocolate cookie crust. Like a fancy Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, with Oreos and chips. The kind of foods you'd eat alone if you were lonely... I'm guessing. In the dark. By yourself... In pie form, eat it with the businessmen and hipsters that frequent The Pie Hole.

Oh, but as I said, GONE. They retired this pie the day I bought it.  I didn't know.

So what's left? Check out their menu (PDF) to get an idea of the types of pies they bake. See the photo below also. The strawberry pie is new. That's next!

Tip: They also make savory pies. Hand pies, chicken pot pies, and something with mac and cheese...

Located across the street from Wurstkuche in the Arts District, Downtown Los Angeles.
