5 Things I'm Digging On Lately.

1. Trader Joe's cloth, reusable bags. Nice, sturdy totebags are on sale near the cash registers. Pick one up. They are just the right size and weight and are made in the U.S.A. in Lowell, MA. Hometown of writers Jack Kerouac and Ms. Donna Lethal.

2. Black Keys: El Camino. This album came out late last year. A friend recommended it to me some time ago, but I hadn't given the full thing a listen until last week.

3. Tea. Honestly, I probably drink too much tea. I'm trying to curb this intense Diet Coke addiction, which left unchecked, has me drinking about 36 oz in a day. One a day, on a good week. None is best. The cool weather is making hot tea a very enjoyable beverage, plus having a cup while you're watching Downton seems like the right thing to do. I've had to mix it up and buy some non-caffeinated tisanes because there were a couple nights I woke up with the tea sweats.

4. Hot dogs.
Haven't eaten them in years, but recently going through this renewed interest. Anything from the fancy wieners at Wurstkuche (Italian sausage & Belgian fries w/pesto aioli, pictured below) to the basic Costco hot dog that comes with a drink for $1.50.

5. Orange County. Used to work in Orange County. Lived next to it almost my entire life. Never thought much of it. Now going several times a month for things other than Disneyland. Shopping/browsing, movies, eating, etc. I have a growing list of places to check out in OC. Top of the list? Bruxie. Weather is supposed to be bad this weekend, but maybe Sunday.
