It's Cold!

It's really cold and I'm sitting here drinking an icy Coke Zero. I should be drinking hot tea or something. Bad decision.

Slumdog Millionaire has been recommended a billion times to me since my November holiday in Sonoma. Finally checked that out today. No review. Just...it was good.

I've been playing around with the Minolta. Not sure I'm using it correctly. There's a switch on the camera that I'm not sure how to set. Guess I won't be able to get a roll developed before SF. Just going to continue shooting and see if anything comes of it. Will probably run it by a pro photog for advice this week.

Finally bought a $5 8x8 pan so I made a batch of brownies. Chewy vs cake-like? Definitely chewy. I like to eat the edges--the chewiest part. When will someone buy me the edges-only pan?! Seriously, I'd never buy a $35 brownie pan for myself, but I would love this thing. I don't get how people can still say I'm tough to gift. Also, the 1st box of Seinfeld DVDs--Seasons 1&2--I need that one to complete my set.

Last night I had some crazy dream that this old friend of mine that was killed years ago, was still alive. We had a weird confrontation in an elevator at a ritzy hotel. I wasn't trapped in the elevator, it wasn't stopped, other people were in there with us, he was being very jovial and talkative, but he was supposed to be dead so I was too frightened to say much. Was it all some elaborate faked death thing? Not sure. Woke up before I could ask him. What's that about?

I hate when I forget that it's a 3-day holiday and I don't hold on to my Netflix. Pfft...now I have to read a book. Just kidding. I read. I have bad timing though and in addition to not holding any discs, I just finished my book on Friday. I was reading Carl Hiaasen's Skinny Dip. I asked via Twitter for other Hiaasen recommendations but only got one reply. Nobody reads books anymore and/or people are ignoring my Twitters. Probably both.

Edit: Ooh, I thought of another thing...Yesterday I was hungry and as always, we ain't ever have 2 things that match at the house. One thing I've been wanting forever [like since I was last in Albuquerque] is a massive breakfast burrito. Scouring the fridge, I came up with the idea to make some breakfast tacos. Scrambled eggs (past its expiration date), 2 cheeses, sauteed mushrooms, out of salsa, so I just used a few squeezes of ketchup all folded up into corn tortillas. New idea? Not really. I Googled it and found out this is something people DO. Not bad, I still would have preferred a burrito though. And maybe some breakfast potatoes.
