Signs of Aging 2.

At some point over the weekend I find myself in the local PacSun (Pacific Sunwear). I had a good reason for being in there. Well, I had a reason. I walked into the shop intending to buy some flipflops. Yeah, really. The shoes I was wearing were no good for shopping, but I didn't think about that when I left the house.

As soon as I was in there I thought, "Why is the music turned up so goddamned loud?"

Oh, that's not good! I've turned into an old lady! Kids! Shut off that racket! (bangs ceiling with stick)

Also, it was way too dim. I could have fallen in there and cracked my skull open. I walk to the back of the store where the teenagers behind the counter and the few that were shopping kind of look at me. Like, Is grandma lost? Hey! I'm not that much older than you! Only...sigh, well, I'm only like twice your age. I walk out without buying anything. I take my old ass to Nordstrom and have a lovely afternoon trying on orthopedic shoes. No, not really. I did buy a pair of Havaianas and a nice ESPRIT skirt. Come on, I'm not John McCain-old.

It's okay. Pretty soon you'll go from thinking the music is always too loud to thinking the TV is never loud ENOUGH.
