Honestly...I think macarons are so pretty but I'm never as happy eating them as I was peering at them through the little case! That's just me though. I would also never undertake baking them at home. That seems like a recipe for sad baking failure...
Oh... I'll try to remember how complicated the process is when I'm paying >$1.50 each. I guess I'll stick to baking the easy stuff.
I'm with you though, I like seeing them in the case. I think I'm mildly OCD because the organization by color and identical size is really satisfying.
