Dinner.

So tired. Have a crazy right eye-twitch for a few days now so I'm going to attempt to sleep on the earlier side. Also, everyone at work seems to have the same cold or sinus infection and it's a matter of time before I get it. Using the past as a guide, I'd say it's inevitable. The sleeping early probably won't happen. I'll probably get sucked into a stupid television sitcom I've seen a million times or a DVD. Anyhow, really not in the mood to battle the Star Wars cookie project again tonight--that, I know for sure.

Made Spam musubi for dinner (also made teriyaki chicken, but I didn't eat that). It's fairly involved, but considering the payoff, worth the effort. My Spam slices need to be fried crisp. I put my teriyaki sauce on it. Assembling the musubi is the next step. I add a few secret flourishes, but it's not perfected yet. Add Sierra Nevada "Torpedo" Extra IPA to the mix and my "Cooking" iPod playlist and my weeknight is complete. Perfect. Maybe I should just call it a night. But there's still the brownies I baked last night. Not wanting to turn the oven off with the feeling of disappointment with the poor cookie turnout, I whipped up a quick batch of fudge brownies.

On the horizon: oatmeal cranberry cookies, lemon bars
