The 909 Gals in the City.

Yeah, I know; I'm in the city every day. But I'm confined to a very specific part of Los Angeles on a day to day basis. I don't always have the opportunity to explore. Not that I haven't but I still have fresh things to experience.

Los Angeles is for the most part, a safe place. Still, when I see confused German tourists walking around with their fannypacks and confused faces buried in guidebooks, I worry. I steer them away from Skid Row. "Don't go that way," I say helpfully, "There's nothing down there of interest to you."

After lunch with aipohaku we tried to catch a film at The Independent as part of the L.A. Film Fest. It was a longshot. The film we wanted was being presented by Jonathan Gold, UDON and had been long sold out but we decided to try our luck with standbys. No luck. Too bad because I wanted to do bookend reviews of Udon and Ramen Girl (the Brittany Murphy flick). I guess I could do a capsule review right now...
Nah, nevermind. Long story short, I ended up seeing Judge at the Regal. Check out a few more photos here.

watched ramen girl a few weeks ago and thought it was semi-cute, super cheesy. if you don't do plan on doing a review about it, i'd still like to know your thoughts!
