Inland Empirical, Friend to Jurors.

Friends who get selected for jury duty in Downtown Los Angeles can always count on the Empirical to meet for lunch breaks.

I've met up with quite a few juror friends--maybe more than there are good restaurants nearby. Anyway, it's a good excuse to pick up a pizza and coffee. And best of all, I like the opportunity to catch up with pals, especially ones I haven't seen in awhile.

Here are recent photos...

Pitfire Pizza with Ryan.

I like to order from their special menu. Not the printed standard one, but whatever they have written up on the chalkboard at the counter. That would be my advice if you head down. Not everything at this resto is great anymore, so I suggest you stick to whatever is fresh and available on 'special' for that day. The chicken pasta is generally good, but how can you pass up a pizza with pretty good California-style crust? Don't.
