Kitty Cat Graffiti.

My computer is still not in working order and I am still ill with this stubborn cold. Yet, I really wanted to get a new entry up on the Empirical this weekend, even going so far as to request a guest blogger piece from my creative associate; unfortunately, Mr. Lundquist is similarly holed up with his own illness.

So it falls back on me. Well, here is something...
I've been using my computer at the day job to archive any important files locked up on my broken laptop. It's a slow process as the day job itself tends to get in the way of making a real dent in this chore. Tackling first: photos. I've been digging. There are a lot of image files that have never been backed up because let's face it the last thing anyone wants to do is this computer-y maintenance/data backup. Hell, it even comes after pecking one's eyes out on the list. My back is against the wall on it now however. Here's the nice part of it: I've been rediscovering photos I took in the not-so-distant past that just fell between the cracks of those ridiculous Yoda backpack photos I've been posting relentlessly.

...Someone is tagging up the I-10 freeway with these kitty cat graffiti! Best seen from the bus lane.

Check out this crop of photos I took one morning on my bus commute.

Yes, blurry. I was in a speeding bus, duh.
The faces s/he does next to the cats are cool too. I've seen a couple that have cat eyes & ears but with the human mouths.

These are really awesome.
Anyone know who is behind these cute cats?

Last time I can recall being really delighted by a graf discovery was Midzt, which I did an entry on back in 2006(!). I'd love to hear these are related. Even if they aren't, any kind of identifying information will be most appreciated...

I think textdrivebys was right. The section of the bus lane I snapped photos on is the 101.

Not that blurry actually...the main photo anyway. This robocat tshirt reminded me of you.
