Arts in the 909.

Here are some more pieces that I really liked from the L.A. County Fair.

This one really had me wondering what the instructor asked the students to do! Lauralee's got some interesting stuff going on in her brain.

Wow! What a great family portrait. This one is so appealing. I like the style and color choices. And is that a fish floating next to them?

I love looking at art done by teenagers. I was really drawn to this one in the photography section. I want this girl to take my photo.

Citizenrobot thought this looks like Jemaine Clement. I agree! Conchords on ceramic? Maybe.

This could be the best handpainted portrait of a Korean man ever made. Great technique. This small dish will probably be a treasured family heirloom for generations.

These dishes by Kim Tucker received no awards! Huge huge mistake. I love this pair! Kim, if by some chance you see this, contact me. I want to buy both.

Lauralee's reminded me of Donnie Darko. And you're right, those dishes rock. PS. I heart teenage photography too.

I wanted those plates too. They're too hipstery for the judges!
