Signs of Aging 6.

Impulse buy at age 20: hair products
Impulse buy at age 30: A Honeywell Tower Fan

I went to the shops to pick up some prescriptions (more signs of getting old) and came home with a $55 fan. It's called the "Fresh Breeze Tower Fan." Still in the box. Reading reviews now and most seem positive.

Features
  • Air filter
  • Digital temperature controls
  • Automatic shut-off
  • Remote control(!)
  • Negative ion technology
Does it work?
Don't know. Will update you. Looks promising though.

Update: I don't know if the digital temperature readouts are accurate. Is it really 90 degrees in the house? Possibly! It is the 909. The sleep timer works, I think? Not really sure because I'm asleep! Who the hell knows if the ionic stuff is for real. I feel better knowing it's there though--placebo effect? It's a powerful fan though and I like the remote control. The flashlight on it doesn't work so well but that's what the Mini-Maglite is for. If you're looking for a fan, try Costco.

The digital temp readout seems wrong, but I live in 909--maybe it is 86 degrees in my room.

Long live the Empire!
