Got a heads up from my cousin's wifey.
It's a bit before my time (I was listening to pop then), but anyone who remembers Los Angeles radio station, "The Mighty Met" KMET 94.7 (off the air since 1987), today's your lucky day. 100.3 THE SOUND (a pretty good rock station here in L.A.) is hosting an all-KMET day.
Stream it here: thesoundla.com
Excellent/surprising sound quality!
Even if you miss it today, worth checking out if you like rock music. Yesterday they did an all-1973 day. It's a nice change from a lot of the major stations in SoCal.
UPDATE: Dr. Demento fans, make sure to tune in 7-8 p.m. PST to catch your show!
UPDATE: Dr. Demento played Weird Al's 1st radio performance of "Another One Rides the Bus." Also seen/heard in the previous post (1st television performance) here on Empirical.
