Last night I hit the the halfway mark on Kafka on the Shore and every chapter is blowing my mind. Planning to add your books that I haven't read yet to my shopping list--I'm glad there are quite a few of those. Already added the film Tony Takitani to my Netflix queue.

I have a couple of his on my shelf that I haven't got round to reading yet.
I read an article about translation once which stated that Murakami is notoriously badly translated and that the English version doesn't capture a FRACTION of what he really writes.
Still, what am I going to do - learn Japanese?
