I've been thinking about it ever since and even discussing a few things with the friend in NYC that I went to OTTO with. I cannot decide which lunch I liked better.
To recap, at OTTO I had:
- Italian bread
- breadsticks
- one large bottle sparkling water
- Warm House Cured Olives
- Prosciutto Arugula Pizza (Tomato, Cacio, Mozzarella, Crudo, Arugula)
- Two glasses wine (Rosato Bastianich and a red)
- Trio of sorbetti (Creme Fraiche, Tangerine, Pineapple Prosecco)
- breadsticks
- tap water
- A white, A red (Ribolla & Aglianico)
- Fried Squash Blossoms with Ricotta
- Nancy's Chopped Salad
- Prosciutto di Parma Pizza (with Rucola [Arugula], Tomato & Mozzarella)
- Citizenrobot had the Coach Farm Goat Cheese Pizza (with leeks, scallions & bacon)
- Citizenrobot had Strawberry gelato pie, spiced almonds & saba
- Trio of sorbetti (Frutti di Bosco, Melon, Greek yoghurt gelato)
EDIT: Things I'm totally sure of
- OTTO and Mozza salads were the best I've had in my life.
- I cannot go back to eating the way I used to. At least not right away. I've been getting by the last couple days on fresh tomatoes, brie, grapes, apple slices and crackers. Not much else.
- Mozza is by far the most expensive lunch I've ever had. And totally worth it.
