Ritter Sport

I was in Minneapolis visiting family and my partner and I always make
it a point to pop into the historic Kramarczuk's. A must for that
certain Eastern European flavor that's so hard to come by in Los
Angeles. Sausages, cakes, pastry, stuffed cabbage, goulash, the
seasonal paczki. I was in this time to buy a half-dozen cannoli (yes,
they have those too) to bring to a small dinner gathering at our
friends' house.

On top of all those offerings, there's a small market that sells
tshirts, mustards, currywurst sauces, pickles, their own varenyky
(frozen), and the best selection of Ritter Sport I've seen anywhere.

Here are my choices:
• Caramelised Almonds / Winter Edition
• Raisins & Hazelnuts
• Rum Raisins & Hazelnuts

Why did I buy two varieties of Raisins & Hazelnuts? I wanted to see if
there was a noticeable difference in the Rum Raisin one. Yes! There
was.

I opened that one first. WOW. Very alcohol-y. Ingredients include
chocolate liquor, rum. The fumes are hanging in the air. You should
probably keep this one away from the kiddos. I preferred the one without. Avoiding most varieties, with white chocolate, I can't say I've had one I did not enjoy. I tend to go for the ones with almonds, hazelnuts, yogurt, cornflakes, fruit. Pick one up the next time you're in town. I've also seen them in Target's premium chocolate area, checkout lanes in fancier markets, and anywhere that might sell imported candy.
