mornings.

I spend far too much money on lunch. Truly. Coworkers have even come to me, very concerned, "Perhaps you should start bringing lunch. At least a few times a week? Start with one day..."

Yes yes. But really, no. I'm terrible at assembling a lunch. I put one together, something I might love to have at home, turns into the most unappetizing food at the office. Maybe it's because I spend so much time commuting. Food that should be refrigerated, spends too much time at room temperature or hotter than room temperature. It's not good. It's not safe, to be honest. I'm not just making excuses. If I bring my own food, I have to force myself to eat it and not throw it straight into the garbage. Usually, I hate the idea of wasting food even more, so I will eat it. Then I spend the rest of the day feeling depressed about it.

Okay here's where I've begun making an effort. Breakfast. Usually based around a fruit. And a pot of tea. I'm off coffee. Have I mentioned that already? I've significantly cut down on my caffeine intake. A satisfying and beautiful breakfast leads to lighter and cheaper lunches. And not spending money on a morning coffee is helping a lot.

I make delicious lunches, which I consume at approximately 9:30 a.m. So the result is the same.
