Those of you who follow my Twitter (or friended me on Facebook) saw my update about Cillian Murphy attempting to cut in front of me in line at Loteria Grill. "Where is Batman?" Well, it was more like the line was misshapen what with all the drippy umbrellas and big coats. He was about to order but realized I was waiting. He seemed nice. He was with his family so I didn't bother him for a photo. I tried some chicken mole tacos--they were great but I only ordered two. I recommend you order a lot more than that.
I also recommend the William Eggleston show at the LACMA. It's open through mid-January. See as much as possible, but Eggleston is a must. Check out the Olmecs and the fancy schmancy Marie Antoinette-y "Sensual" rooms over in the Resnick.

Just off the Red Line; waiting in the rain.

LACMA's Barbara Kruger elevator. <3 her. Ride the elevator. It's huge.

Olmecs. There's my friend J in the background on the left.

William Eggleston. That guy in the center was cool-looking. He has a beret. The photos are amazing. Highly recommended. Get to LACMA!

Chris Burden, URBAN LIGHT. Seen this whizzing by in a car, but never up close until this visit. Shot everything with my cellphone camera. That photo at the very top of this post was all freaky deaky looking without the use of Photoshop--I think it was the rain/mist in the air.

Easily overlooked, but also recommended--India's Fabled City: The Art of Courtly Lucknow
Look at how much fun we're having! But seriously, I had a major emotional moment in that exhibit. I don't think looking at every single thing is necessary, but check out the water pipes and boy's cotton garment in the room farthest back on the left. Excellent!
