Choco Ball, but strawberry flavor. One of the spoils of Momma Empirical's trip to our motherland.
I've never been too into Choco Ball myself. I'm more of a straight Pocky, Glico Caramels, Botan Rice Candy type. But here it is.
Did you ever have chocolate covered strawberries (or blueberries, cherries) from Harry & David? These are similar, except where the real fruit would be, there is a little nugget of substandard chocolate and some crisped rice. Sounds unsatisfying, but you'd be surprised. I'd eat a handful at a time.
The labeling on this box says it's new and I haven't seen this around the J-town J markets yet, but if it ever makes its debut, you should check it out. I'll predict it will sell for close to $2 a box, and the box is small--I'll leave it up to you to decide if it's worth the cost.
