Flashback 30.
Yes, this is pretty ridiculous.
I don't think I've seen this video since the early-90s while walking through the junior section of the local Sears. It's that kind of ridiculous.
I haven't heard a longer version of this song in awhile too, but I was recently watching So I Married an Axe Murderer (the song runs over a montage)--yes, also ridiculous--which I've always kind of liked. I saw it in a theater. It was before Mike Myers went the complete douchebag route with the Austin Powers movies and Love Guru and well basically everything since this movie. And yeah, that includes Wayne's World 2. And I'm not in love with Shrek the way everyone else was.
Mike Myers is actually very likable in this movie and Nancy Travis looks really beautiful (I only ever remember her in Becker). They are both so youthful and charming. Granted, I will only watch the first half of this movie nowadays. Everything up until his engagement at the parents' anniversary party after which it falls apart. Unfortunately that means missing Charles Grodin's part at the end. Oh well. Here are the poems. If you watch til the end, you get a taste of the Boo Radleys' "There She Goes" before Sixpence mangled it. Set Deloreans to 1993...
Wow. Right? This movie is so old, Phil Hartman's in it.
Don't forget, Myers did a dual role.
