Done.

Signing off on the Halloween project. Just got done with the final film in the franchise--Rob Zombie's sequel. Ehh, it wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. It certainly wasn't good either. Thankfully Danielle Harris is back (love her) but I don't recall Laurie (Scout Taylor-Compton) being so irritating in the previous film. For two whole hours, she was either sobbing/whining or shouting at people. I wanted Michael to kill her. Kill her good! After watching four of Rob's films (written/directed) I can say he should stick to making films, but skip sequels. He loses a lot of momentum the second time around on his own material.

I really did like his first Halloween film. I was looking into buying a copy and I noticed that there are different packages available. There are two three different discs that are offered as "Unrated" and I'm having a hell of a time trying to figure out which one I saw and which one I want to put on my wishlist. Well, I'm assuming the film is the same across the board but they are all bundled up with different Special Features. The reviews are all pointing me toward a "Theatrical" version but no one is quite sure where/if that can be located. My money's on the 2 disc Unrated. Theatrical has these scenes, Unrated has those other ones; neither version could be considered complete. Then they wonder why consumers don't come in droves to spend $15-25 on a single film for their library. That kind of money could go toward paying for something we might consider more vital than filling a collection. Prescription medicine? Food? Gasoline? Housing? Haitian earthquake relief?

Well. Back to Battlestar Galactica...
