Thai Harmony Cafe - Diamond Bar.

Went to check out Thai Harmony in Diamond Bar the other weekend with ai pohaku. It's taken over the unit that used to house Ameci's Pizza by the Post Office and 7-11 on Diamond Bar Blvd. You'll recognize it under the stairs as it still has the old red and green neon in the window.

I returned this evening for another order of chicken panang curry. I phoned my order in--(909) 860-0011--and asked them to make it spicier this time. It's a little expensive (just under $11 for the curry) for a quick Monday night dinner but sometimes this is exactly what you need--home cooked food that you didn't have to cook.

Thai Harmony is a little mom and pop shop that moved out to the 909 from Sunset Blvd. Why? I'm not sure, but I'm glad they did. The Thai food situation in the Inland Empire is tough. Most places are fast food noodle joints or BBQ. Your luck might be better with a bit of a drive to San Gabriel Valley. Rama Garden in Redlands was pretty damn fine but that's been closed for awhile now and I'm struggling to think of another nice Thai place in the 909. If you have Thai suggestions, let me know.

Check my photos from my dinner with ai pohaku...

Thai food is one of my favourites. "Home cooked food that you didn't have to cook" is another.
