Here's an email I sent to a friend
This is what happened...I fainted in the Space Mtn line at Disneyland.
Then I fainted (some say seized, but are unsure; they told me later that I was shaking and my eyes rolled up a bit) 2 MORE TIMES while waiting for medical help, but I have no recollection of that. Only remember the 1st time because I'd experienced significant visual problems right before. Second/third time woke up completely disoriented and unaware of what just happened.
Never fainted before. They say I fainted on Sunday 3x within 20 minutes. If I had to guess, I'd say it was a problem with a new prescription I am on. It's been a week on that and I never fully acclimated to it. In fact, I've been miserable on it.
Disney's nurses called an ambulance and I was in ER for most of the day. Ian rode with. Leaving Disneyland was a huge production. Everyone in Tomorrowland saw. I was embarrassed because I didn't understand what had happened. I kept saying that the gurney and oxygen were unnecessary. When everyone kept reminding me that I went down three times without much warning, I didn't believe them. In ER I got the works: X-ray, urine/blood tests, IV, EKG, etc. Took forever. Ian and Turley were waiting the entire time.
I feel only ok now but I am really frustrated that my primary doctor has not returned my 2 calls. Frustrated that the words 'seizures' and 'ambulance' can't get my doctor on the phone. Now I feel I should make a formal complaint about that. Worried about what my insurance did not cover. Overwhelmed about having to do this by myself. That's why I'm responding to your msg at 130 am. Can't sleeeeeep....So tired.
Told I+T you say HI. Thanks for asking. I really appreciate the concern.

Hey Cari,
I hope you are looking for a new DR and that you are feeling a little better today. You should call your insurance company and tell them what happened and that you would like a breakdown so you can be prepared for the bill. Get the info now. The ambulance and probably the ER bill will come to you before they have gone to your insurance company. Mine literally showed up 2 days later! Don't have a heart attack when you open them because that isn't what you owe, just put them aside until you receive notification from you insurance company. I know it's a lot to deal with and it totally sucks. Let me know if I can help from all the way across the damn country! Take care and keep me posted and get some sleep!
