That's twice already this year.
I'm not the type that just get sick and then gets better. I'm weak and when illness hits, it's devastating. In January I had a persistent cough the entire month.
Okay so when I last signed off here, I was slipping into a food coma. That I did. I awoke when SenorCrane rang me on the cellphone. As we talked, I felt a sore throat coming on pretty quickly, then chills. Terrible sign. Felt worse the next morning and still managed to drag my ass into work.
Well I left early after enough people told me I look like shit.
Slept for 15 hours and still felt miserable.
This morning I was able to see a doctor because I wanted to make sure if it was strep, that I can get some antibiotics. The lady--not my usual MD--couldn't tell me if it was because the lab work would take some time. What? In this day and age I have to wait? Fine whatever. She sent me away saying I should sleep the next couple days and pick up some different medication; apparently the medicine I'd been taking is useless. She looked over my past records because this was our first meeting--commendable really since I'm on an HMO--not many others would. I was supposed to come back--and this is years ago--for a followup but never did and even threw the word 'cancer' in there. If I didn't live in complete denial most of the time it would have really freaked me out.
