Flix.

I am on Netflix (thanks to Citizenrobot). Of course, with these things where I'm suddenly under pressure to name movies that I want to watch, I draw a blank. Same thing happens when people ask what kind of music I'm into.

There are a lot of films I've put off in the past because--and this is truly the primary reason--they are inaccessible.
  • Too obscure for the local video/DVD store
  • Perhaps too dirty(?) for the local library
  • Can't find the correct region for my DVD player
  • Just plain different than the types of films my friends are into.

As many lists my compulsive brain has made over the years, I never bothered to list the titles. Rather, I tend to list films I've already seen and/or own, with little mini-reviews; I do this so I don't rent Elizabeth for the 4th or 5th time.

That doesn't mean I won't listen to your recommendations. I recently borrowed Battle Royale from Madmojo. I've always wanted to see it but I couldn't find a Region 1 copy and never looked too hard for one anyway. I did like it though. What else should I watch?

@rain: Thanks for the titles! I was unfamiliar with all of them (except Amelie). The Blossoming will be my introduction to Filipino cinema and El Topo I grouped with some other westerns that were already in my queue. Getting excited!

@blue lass: Will check it.
