Chocolate mini-reviews. I've always liked European chocolate and I would put Ritter way up there high on the list. They make a great 71% which comes in a fuschia pack. The milk choco is pretty good too and these square bricks of candy are pretty reasonably priced and are always satisfying.
I was really excited to see a little sampler of Ritter SPORT in c-note's gift basket including three flavors I've never tried. Let's do this.

Item 02: Ritter SPORT Knusperflakes ("crunchy flakes" - Corn Flakes?)
I think they are corn flakes. A little grittier than typical American cereals but still the light crispy texture is a great match for milk chocolate. This cereal does little to enhance flavor but the texture is excellent.
Item 03: Ritter SPORT Vollmilch ("full milk" - Milk Chocolate)
Yep, good as always. Dense and creamy. Prefer dark chocolates usually, but this is a great milk choco. There is something in there. Some element toward the finish. I can't identify it, but that's what makes it.
Item 04: Ritter SPORT Joghurt (Yogurt)
This is good but difficult to recommend. It's that really tart/sour yogurt flavor that I like but is too strong for a lot of people. It does taste exactly like a super-concentrated yogurt. I dunno. I like it but probably wouldn't buy; there are better Ritter SPORT varieties and the pairing doesn't exactly work. For yogurt flavor I might try just a Japanese yogurt candy. Or just have a fresh yogurt!
Item 05: Ritter SPORT Knusperkeks ("crunchy cookie" - Cookie/Biscuit)
Yummy but not exceptional. If chocolate coated biscuits are your thing, pick up a box of LU Biscuits. The Le Petit Ecoliers come in Milk, Dark, and Extra Dark.
I <3 Germans.
