I'm bored. You're bored. We all know this. Time to admit it.
We've done some really cool things together over the years...Comic-con (2 years and counting), Clifton's Cafeteria, wine guzzling in Sonoma and Napa Counties, Murakami, dim summing, ramen, "Flashbacks," Japanese snacks, strawberry donuts, excellent meals, toys...NOW WHAT?
Clearly it is time to move in some new directions.
This is Empirical stripped down and on a diet. Going to work on putting some new things up but feeling somewhat uninspired. My interests are in different areas that I don't yet feel like writing about. Exploration time. You should explore too.
EDIT: Yeah, don't worry. All the old writings and your deliciously witty comments are still here in my care. They will return. I was just feeling very limited by looking at it all the time. I want to get this new stuff up and running without constantly referencing old stuff--I tend to do that, duh! It's all here but has been holding me back the past couple months, and I'm kind of trying to refine my archiving system for those things anyway.
EDIT: I don't know why I omitted the Gyoza Eating Contest from that mini-list. That was awesome. Also, Empirical went to ComicCon the last three years. Not two. We trippin'

Good for you. I zero out my entire oeuvre at the end of every academic year and, after about a month of posts, let the labels choose themselves. It's kind of a virtual Buddhist non-attachment thing.
