• I only looked at my tax papers today. Sometimes I get this stuff done early but there have been a few years, like this one, that I wait till the last possible moment. I still need to go to the post office. During the 2000 Presidential elections I waited till the last possible moment to register to vote--literally, two minutes before the post office closed--and I didn't even stick around long enough to see if it was postmarked (I've since re-registered several times, randomly). I have no reason for why I am this way only some of the time. Someone pointed out that if I'd done it earlier I could have received my refund checks already and why wouldn't I want my money quickly? Don't I want to be out there stimulating the economy? I honestly don't know. There are nearly as many mundane things I do weeks, even months, in advance.
• I should probably hit up the bank too; I spent the last of my cash on a tin of Marcona almonds.
• I feel like gambling. I'm feeling lucky. And I'm pretty good at sensing when my luck is up. Time's running out though.
• Do you like tacos? What kind? What can you recommend in the Los Angeles area? Are you a King Taco person or a Tito's? Post in the comments area. I have a small taco project coming up this weekend with a couple Empirical supporters.
• It's all about projects right now. I have THREE simultaneous "Movie Watching Projects" going on plus research for the upcoming trip. More on this later!

Yucca's on Vermont is a must-taco.
