Flashback Friday 19.

Yeah, I missed FF last week. I was having a rough time that day (actually the entire week and weekend) and just didn't feel like digging through videos.

Since it is that time of year, I thought I would put up something by everyone's favorite Halloween band--I actually think of them as my Dia de los Muertos band and since they are sooooo classic Los Angeles, I thought it would be a nice followup to my photos from yesterday.

Here's a little video I found some time back. It's our guys playing a telethon. Two songs that are so awesome they stand up without the usual theatrics and whatnot.

Dia de los Muertos continues into today. Maybe this video will flash you back and remember some good people you may have lost. Have fun!

EDIT: This video predates the 909 area code! If you look at the pledge numbers throughout the video you see San Berndardino/Riverside under a 714. Even I had a 714 throughout the 1980s up until the very early 1990s. [Both songs are from the album BOI-NGO released in 1987 so I would guess this performance was around that time.] Today the 714 area code is nearly confined to the Orange County (it is on the verge of yet another split) and the 909 has split further into the 951 which covers Riverside County. I love that the whole of Los Angeles is represented by 213 in this video. I remember those days!
