I had a great comiccon weekend. Bought some books and thigamajigs. Talked to artists. Met some new people on the way. Discovered that the DS is a fun little toy. Ran into an old acquaintance from Redlands and his brother. Everything was going really well until the ride home.
Oh boy.
The ride home was a real buzzkill. Or, as I said at 2:15 a.m. as we exited the train in Los Angeles, "a total fucking nightmare." An evil endurance test. Embittered people turning against each other for survival. Piles of human waste collecting. Empty darkness. Hostile drunks. I overheard some speaking of resorting to cannibalism.
Plus, CARRIE FISHER was there!!!
