A friend of mine discovered BREATH PALETTE online a few months ago. It’s a Japanese line of toothpastes that come in curious flavors (Indian Curry, Darjeeling Tea, "Monkey Banana," for example). An interesting concept for sure; this is the kind of thing that makes me proud of my Japanese heritage.
Oprah digs it.
Easily purchased online in expensive themed sets (Neimans or Amazon)—or buy all 31 tubes. Imagine our surprise when we came across an independent beauty supply store that sold tubes singly—still expensive. I punked out on the curry and went for Kyofu Powdered Green Tea (there no less than 2 different green tea flavors), Kyoho [grape], and "Freshness Yogurt.”
Stay tuned for more on HI-CHEW and a review of Burt’s Bees Doctor Burt's Cinnamint Toothpaste.

FANCY TOOTHPASTE = CAVITIES?
After years of exclusive use of Tom's Of Maine Spearmint, I've switched back to good ole Crest. Why you might ask? Because I'm convinced that Tom's is the root (no pun intended) of my recent string of cavities. I had not had a cavity in 24 years, but after years of Tom's use = cavities. So, I'm back to the mainstream of Crest, looking for more floriude protection for what is left of my un rotted teeth.
Did they have pizza flavor? I can't remember. I wanted you to get something flowery too, I can't remember what. Like peonies or some shit? Anyway, that was a kick ass beauty store. All kinds of wonderful European thingamawhoozies.

Lavender! That's what I wanted you to get.
i guess that means there are actually thirty -TWO flavors since they have a number ZERO flavor.
they all sound interesting, but considering the price, i doubt i'd give any others a try after the disappointment of the 1st 3.
Where are your anonymous friends?
i am sad when i realize that people do not get excited about "boutique toothpastes."
it's just you, me, and anonymous #1.

HI-CHEW! I love those! Where can i get me some of that?
In the '60's, there was a toothpaste from Japan that was popular (among kids) in Hawaii. It was called Sunstar and came in a couple of flavors - strawberry and banana. Forty years later, we have all these exotic flavors. Are we that bored?
